Last week I was totally craving homemade mac & cheese. I am not really sure what triggered the need for this dish given I haven’t had it in ages. In any event mac & cheese was going to happen in my belly! This super cheese homemade mac & cheese is a serious comfort food dish. According to the husband and a friend who joined us for dinner they said this mac & cheese recipe is a winner! Just looking at the picture makes me want to eat some. YUMMY!!

It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time to share another Tasty Tuesday recipe! Ever since I ate a sugar cookie at Potbelly’s I’ve been on the look out for a killer homemade sugar cookie recipe. Have you ever had a Potbelly sugar cookie? They are A-MAZING! You should seriously try one. It is a little crunchy on the outside and complete heaven in the middle. Yes, I know, I am completely obsessed.
During my quest to replicate this recipe I found a post on HWTM blog that resulted in a pretty good cookie. In all honesty though it didn’t rival the Potbelly cookie, so the search continued.
Check out the sugar cookie recipe here.
A while back I found this blog post about chocolate mustaches. I had been wanting to make them for a while. After purchasing the chocolate molds on Amazon along with the lollipop sticks they sat in my cuboid waiting to be used. I considered making some for a friend’s bachelorette weekend, but ending up making a cake instead.
Then one of my besties got pregnant AND she found out she was having a BOY!!! Finally, I offered to through her a baby shower and after a bit of research decided to do a “little man” themed shower. Check out the DIY invitationsfor the baby shower. FINALLY these mustache molds were going to come in handy!
I considered making the mustache chocolates as cupcake toppers, but decided they would be perfection as a thank you gift for the guests. I bought the chocolate molds and lollipop sticks on Amazon.com, however I also found molds at Michael’s made by Wilton.
Here are the directions on how to create these adorable lollipops.

My friend Kia threw her son a first birthday party a few weeks back. The party was decked out with all sorts of details and DIY projects. As co-owner of Baker’s Bliss she also made all her own cupcakes for the party! Party details as told by Kia…
For my son’s 1st Birthday I wanted to do something different and something fun. Hopefully, along the lines of cost effective as well. I looked through a variety of themes of things to do and most of them felt too kiddy. As every parent knows the first birthday party is more for the adults than the kids and so I wanted a fun theme that all ages could enjoy. I searched the internet high and low and ultimately fell in love with the posts I had seen from different moms who had decided on the “one year in a flash” theme.
I have a little bit of an obsession with Food Network. If there isn’t a show recorded on DVR that I want to watch, Food Network is my next go-to channel, followed by HGTV. Food and home improvement … you can clearly see where my passions lie. One day while blogging and watching Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten was cooking her “Perfect Roast Chicken”. I quickly made a mental note that I must make this dish. An opportunity quickly presented itself and I adapted the recipe just a little. This dish is well … absolutely DELISH!!!

It seems we have come to the end of the wedding related posts. I’ve shared my bridal shower and the bachelorette party as well as my wedding dress purchasing experience. And let’s not forget about it pouring down rain only a few hours before what was suppose to be an outdoor ceremony. Below I’ve listed all of the DIY projects we tackled along the way as well as the vendors we used.
But before we get to that here are just a few of my favorite pictures from the big day! All of the photos below were taken by Korie Lynn Photography.

Centerpieces and/or flower arrangements can be quite costly this time of year. With Thanksgiving over and Christmas right around the corner it seemed like the perfect time to share the DIY rose and cranberry center pieces we make every Thanksgiving.
My mom got the idea when walking through the flower section in Whole Foods a few years ago. My mother use to be in charge of making the arrangements, but then my sister took over.
Check out our pretty Thanksgiving table will all the yummy food!!

PEOPLE it is Tasty Tuesday! What are you making for dinner tonight? Last week I love made some spicy chicken curry for the hubby. This take on chicken curry is definitely A LOT healthier than what you would get from a restaurant. If you don’t like spicy stuff I suggest not using any (or as much) jalapeno and use all regular curry powder instead of the hot madras curry powder. This recipe can totally be tweaked to fit your pallet and is pretty forgiving!

When the husband and I hosted a Super Bowl party this year a friend made these cute little oreo truffle footballs. These little guys were extremely addictive. So yummy!!!!!
Our friend was kind enough to share the recipe with me after a few reminder *wink wink*. Although I’ve been meaning to make the truffles for a while there hasn’t been a good occasion to give the recipe a try. We had some friends over this weekend to check out the new place so I made the oreo truffles as a littler treat for our friend. They were a big hit!

Previously on our honeymoon series: Positano, Sorrento and Cinque Terre. Now that you are all caught up let’s talk ROME!
After another extremely long train ride we arrived in Rome! I feel like our last stop was the most cultural. Rome was a great way to spend our last few days in Italy and on our honeymoon. We stayed in downtown Rome and within walking distance of the Colosseum at the Artemide Hotel. On the evening we arrived we were starving after checking into the hotel. We walked down the street to a local bar. We had a little food as well as a drink and just people watched for a while.
