I’ve recently become somewhat obsessed with making truffles. Right before Easter my friend came over to hang out and was interested in learning how to make truffles. I had been dying to try out this new truffle recipe and decided it was the perfect time. I told her we had to document the process as this was a recipe I had been planning to blog about. So …. we collected all the ingredients, got the camera ready and the truffle making began!
Here we go … it’s truffle yummilious time!!

With chocolate mustaches as the baby shower favor completed all I needed was to make the favor tags. I ordered card stock to print the tags on and started designing them in PhotoShop. I wanted the design of the tags to be similar to the custom invitations I made so the “paper products” would mesh.

Here’s the final product:
A while back I found this blog post about chocolate mustaches. I had been wanting to make them for a while. After purchasing the chocolate molds on Amazon along with the lollipop sticks they sat in my cuboid waiting to be used. I considered making some for a friend’s bachelorette weekend, but ending up making a cake instead.
Then one of my besties got pregnant AND she found out she was having a BOY!!! Finally, I offered to through her a baby shower and after a bit of research decided to do a “little man” themed shower. Check out the DIY invitationsfor the baby shower. FINALLY these mustache molds were going to come in handy!
I considered making the mustache chocolates as cupcake toppers, but decided they would be perfection as a thank you gift for the guests. I bought the chocolate molds and lollipop sticks on Amazon.com, however I also found molds at Michael’s made by Wilton.
Here are the directions on how to create these adorable lollipops.
When the husband and I hosted a Super Bowl party this year a friend made these cute little oreo truffle footballs. These little guys were extremely addictive. So yummy!!!!!
Our friend was kind enough to share the recipe with me after a few reminder *wink wink*. Although I’ve been meaning to make the truffles for a while there hasn’t been a good occasion to give the recipe a try. We had some friends over this weekend to check out the new place so I made the oreo truffles as a littler treat for our friend. They were a big hit!

I have always loved me some chocolate. Make that a molten lava cake a la mode and I’m ALL IN! As someone with a serious sweet tooth I often make restaurant choices based on their dessert menu. On weekends when I was home from college my mom would ask me where I wanted to go to dinner. I would almost always opt for The Lyceum (which apparently is now closed - just found that out when Googling it). Anyways, I found Paul Deen’s recipe for Molten Lava Cakes and decided to give it a whirl. Let me just say it is YUMMMMMOOOO! I could eat it everyday, but everything in moderation, right?!
